Partiamo da Ovaro per affrontare la salita di 10,5 Kilometri ed un dislivello di 1210 metri con una pendenza media dell’ 11.5% e tratti con pendenza superiore al 20%.
La prima parte, di circa 1 Km, che ci porta fino alla frazione di Liariis, presenta una pendenza dell’8/9%, e qui comincia la salita più dura, evocata dalle frasi scritte sulle facciate delle case : ”lasciate ogni speranza voi che entrate” e “qui si va sulla salita dolente, qui si va nell’eterno dolore”.
Durante la salita incontriamo i cartelli con le immagini dei Campioni del ciclismo che hanno vinto e fatto la storia del Giro d’Italia.
Al ritorno, dopo circa i Km dalla vetta, troviamo sulla destra una stradina per raggiungere la Malga Pozof, oggetto di uno recupero storico della vecchia Casera.

We set off from Ovaro to tackle the climb of 10.5 kilometres and an altitude difference of 1210 metres with an average gradient of 11.5% and stretches with gradients of over 20%.
The first part, of about 1 kilometre, which takes us to the hamlet of Liariis, has a gradient of 8/9%, and here begins the toughest climb, evoked by the phrases written on the facades of the houses: ‘abandon all hope you who enter’ and ‘here we go on the painful climb, here we go into eternal pain’.
During the climb, we encounter signs with images of cycling champions who have won and made the history of the Giro d'Italia.
On the return journey, about one kilometre from the summit, we find a small road on the right to reach the Malga Pozof, which is the subject of a historical recovery of the old Casera.
